About the Founder

Nashville Strings was founded by cellist Telalit Charsky. She was classically trained by some of the most legendary musicians out there, amongst them are Bernard Greenhouse, David Geringas and Itzhak Perlman. Born in Tel-Aviv, then living in Europe for 10 years, going on several major tours, and finally settling down in the USA has all contributed to Telait’s incredibly rich and versatile musical upbringing. She can perform any music on the spot, and bring to life any track with her improvisational skills and signature golden and deep soulful sound. Telalit is featured on hundreds of albums in all musical genres, ranging from classical, tango, jazz, and singer-songwriter, to spoken-word, Indian, and middle-eastern. Her playing is also featured on dozens of award-winning films and video games. After graduating with a master’s degree from the Royal Academy in the UK Telalit had studied privately with Bernard Greenhouse in Cape Cod. He later left his exceptional cello to her which she received after his passing in 2011, and plays on it today.

Telalit is currently one of the top cellists in the Nashville recording scene, and has founded Nashville Strings in 2022 with the purpose of bringing only the creme de la creme of the string musicians in town together in one studio to create more chamber style, quality-monitored, polished-tone musical products, that bring that epic quality that anyone expects from strings when the ending titles come at the end of a tear-up movie, or when the voice breaks with emotion on a record and the melody on cello carries the listener to a new understanding of the message of the song.
